Managing Director, South Asia Sovereign and Institutional Client Advisory and Strategy
Rachel Farrell, managing director, is the head of South Asia Sovereign and Institutional Client Advisory and Strategy for J.P. Morgan Asset Management. Rachel has over 20 years of investment management and advisory experience and has worked in the United States, Europe and Asia. Before joining J.P. Morgan, she was head of Asia Pacific Investor Relations and Distribution for Citi Capital Advisors, the alternative asset management division of Citigroup. In that role, Rachel was actively involved in advising institutional clients throughout Asia Pacific on investments in private equity, private debt, real estate, and hedge funds. In her 12 years at Citigroup she held various senior positions, including head of Citi Alternative Distribution Group Asia ex Japan, head of the Alternative Investment Product Specialist Team for Citi Global Wealth Management in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and Head of Investment Advisory and Counseling for Citigroup Private Bank Switzerland. Prior to joining Citi, she was Head of the Global Discretionary Portfolio Management Team for Bankers Trust Switzerland AG and a member of the Global Investment Committee. Rachel obtained a BA from Brown University and an MBA from Columbia University’s School of Business where she was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honour Society. She is a holder of the CFA and CAIA designation.
